What's in a name?

So Frances Nannabees is my pen-name.

I'm not quite out of the broom closet. Now if you took like 2.5 seconds on the internet google machine, you could figure out who I am. I'm not trying to obscure things really, but my family means a lot to me, and they would not appreciate this journal.

This isn't for them.

So to obscure me just a teensy bit: a pen-name.

I feel like every witch needs a good witch name. I see plenty of people who have renamed themselves to align with their newfound identity. I'm too old to pull off anything too Hot-Topic-y, so no, Morganna Le Fay isn't going to fly.

I love old time-y names.

Frances is also a family name. My mom's mom's middle name, and my dad's dad's middle name. It's the ultimate masculine/feminine combo and speaks to me as a Libra.

Nannabees...well, it's a nickname from the family member who would hate this blog the most, and yet would probably benefit from it the most...and I love bees. It's meant as a nod to this person.
